"I am a knowledgeable and friendly math/science tutor. I have over seven years of experience teaching and tutoring both in community college and at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry with Honor Recognition from UCLA, two Associate Art degree in Chemistry Education and Biology, and another Associate Science degree in Chemistry. I am currently pursuing Medical Degree (MD) degree specialized in Plastic Surgeon. During the time pursuing my career in medicine, I have been exposed to most of difficult scientific knowledge and clinical problems, and I enjoy solving the challenges. With my ability to solve a variety of scientific challenges, I enjoy helping students broaden their knowledge, master their skills, and succeed in their classes, exams, or even careers. Since my time earning my associate degrees, I have thought a wide range of students in many scientific subjects including math (prealgebra, algebra I, II, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus), chemistry (general chemistry I, II, and organic chemistry I, II), physics (physics I, II, and III), and biology. While I was still a high school student, I began as a teacher in an after-school program at a non-profit organization in Taiwan, and had middle school students in a group of twenty. I spent another two years tutoring at Las Positas College, before going to UCLA to earn my Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry with Honor Recognition. After graduating, I started tutoring high school and college students in informal settings. Through all of these experiences, I happily transitioned to WyzAnt tutoring, which provides the most efficient learning results, and currently work one-on-one with students and support them in their learning processes. As a tutor, I strive to see problems from my studentís point of view, to explain concepts clearly with different ways until confirming their understandings, and to break down complex tasks into simple steps. Math and science courses can be difficult, but having an experienced and knowledgeable tutor can make them enjoyable and rewarding." less...

In the year of 2014, I was awarded as the Organic Chemistry of the Year at Chabot-Las Positas College. In addition, since 2015, I have hold multiple scientific research talks at UCLA, UC San Francisco, and UC Berkeley. The experience requires ability to solve a variety of scientific related problems. This is what makes me an experienced tutor teaching science including chemistry (general chemistry I, II, and organic chemistry I, II), physics (physics I, II, and III), and biology.
