"My love for tutoring comes from my love of learning. Growing up with a mother who is a teacher instilled the importance of education in me from a young age. It also allowed me to build the study skills and discipline that allowed me to graduate summa cum laude and phi beta kappa from the honors program of my undergraduate institution. Now, as a student at one of the top law schools in the country, I have been able to continue to hone these skills.

I have many years of tutoring experience. While in high school, I tutored individuals in preparation for the New York Specialized High School Exam using the skills that aided me in gaining admission into one of the specialized high schools. I also tutored elementary and middle school students in math and English during this time. I later tutored students in SAT subjects using the skills that allowed me to achieve the high score that subsequently made it possible for me to receive a full scholarship to my dream college. Once in college, I became one of the youngest students to be hired as a tutor at the university math lab where I tutored in every math subject from basic math through calculus II. Due to my success as a math tutor I was later hired to tutor in the Special Student Services Department. In that department, I was able to work with students who had learning disabilities and required extra assistance in completing their studies. Though I began working there as a math tutor, I was able to branch out and begin tutoring students in English, political science and Spanish.

Not only is mathematics my favorite subject, but it has been a constant focus of mine from the time that I began tutoring. I have tutored students ranging from 5 years old to 65 years old. I have learned to listen to my students in order to develop lesson plans and curriculums that cater to their individual needs and help them to achieve the best success.
