"UPDATE as of April 2020: In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and school closures, I want to emphasize that, in addition to tutoring students who are enrolled in a particular course, I also have experience developing a customized curriculum for self-learners in various math, stats, and data science topics. I continue to do this, but I am also finding that students in high school and college are in need of a similar kind of structural help now that their studies have been drastically interrupted. This is something that I am very comfortable helping students with, so if you and/or your child are feeling lost in regards to how to continue with the material, I hope that you will contact me to discuss your needs and determine if online tutoring would be right for you.
I completed a Bachelor's degree in statistics at North Carolina State University in May 2010, and proceeded to take a few graduate mathematics and statistics courses. Tutoring has been my primary focus since 2011. I have tutored mathematical subjects ranging from elementary math to calculus (univariate and multivariate), linear algebra, differential equations, abstract algebra, real/complex analysis, and advanced statistics courses (e.g. mathematical statistics, statistical inference, biostatistics, machine learning, advanced probability), with ages ranging from young children to nontraditional adult students. I have also tutored statistical programming using R, SAS, SPSS, and Minitab.
Aside from math and statistics, I have also taught guitar performance and music theory at the Burton School of Arts from 2008-2011.

This applies especially to students with learning disabilities, or otherwise unique learning styles that may be less compatible with a traditional classroom learning environment. If you are frustrated and feel that you simply can't grasp these concepts, rest assured that it is possible, and" less...
