"Hey! My name is Brian, and I'm a current 5th year student at Georgia Tech, majoring in Global Economics and Modern Languages with a concentration in Korean. I believe tutoring is the single greatest tool that will fix the holes currently being perpetuated by our flawed education system in the United States. I plan to dedicate a portion of my career to education and making sure that these holes are being filled.
I've done over 500 hours of official tutoring, and in the past, I've tutored students in Algebra, PSAT Math, SAT Math, Elementary and Middle School Math, and Korean. Currently I'm tutoring students in Korean and SAT Math. I'm also working as a teaching assistant for Elementary Korean at Georgia Tech with the Korean program in the School of Modern Languages and as a peer tutor with the school for the course Quantitative Analysis for Business.
I've worked for 2 semesters as a Learning (Student/Teaching) Assistant at Georgia Tech for a Business/Management course (Quantitative Analysis for Business), which primarily involved helping students during class with Excel functions, as well as holding tutoring sessions 2 - 3 times a week. In addition, I'm currently receiving CRLA ITTPC - Level I Tutor Certification training.
One of my passions is to help students succeed in the same way I was helped, as well as connect with a variety of students across multiple age groups. During middle school and high school, my SAT tutor was one of my greatest influences, and he not only completely reshaped the way I approached the SAT, but also was a close friend to me.
In terms of testing qualifications, I received a perfect score on the PSAT Math section (760) and a 790 on the SAT Math section.
