"I am a Mississippi Department of Education certified teacher in the subjects of English and History. I majored in both while I attended the University of Mississippi. I graduated Cum Laude with a Liberal Arts Degree in 2013. I have completed the TMI1 portion to be certified to teach through the Teach Mississippi Institute. I have decided to tutor while I wait for a position to open in English or History in the Middle-High schools around my area. I have successfully taken exams in ACT, PRAXIS CORE, and PRAXIS in Secondary Education Social Studies. I have a wide range of knowledge in scholarly subjects. I specialize in English Literature, European History, and Biology. I took classes in History From the beginning of the Mesopotamian era to current affairs in the United States. I took various classes in English that ranged from Shakespeare to Faulkner and beyond. I have shadowed a teacher for field experience as part of the Teach Mississippi Institute program for over 200 hours instead of the required 60 hours.

I prefer to meet with the student and take a look at their textbook and syllabus to see what they are expected to learn that year. This helps both myself and the student streamline the lesson plans and better explain the topics.
