"Hi there! I'm Ryan, and I've been tutoring regularly for nearly four years and teaching college-level writing courses for nearly two years. I've worked with high school students on personal narratives/nonfiction. I currently teach English Composition & Creative Nonfiction at a private, top-ranked university in Maine. As a frequently published freelance writer and essayist, I'm passionate about storytelling and enjoy helping my students improve their writing skills, with a focus on big-picture revision, reorganization, flow/connectivity, and sentence-level clarity.

I studied creative nonfiction at University of Southern Maine's Stonecoast MFA program. I'm not just an avid reader--I write regularly for outdoor magazines and websites, and I'm at work on a manuscript of published essays. Writing matters to me, and I love working with students to help develop their unique writing voices.
