"I received both my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mathematics from Jackson State University. Dreading the reality of cubicle life, I left my pursuit of a degree in electrical engineering to enter the wonderful world of teaching via Teach for America! During the beginning of my teaching career, I often sought the input of my students for creative ways to make learning math fun. My love for students, coupled with my lifelong fascination with games/game shows, motivated me to use the games to create a classroom management regime that promoted fun, but also demanded self-discipline and work ethic.

I just completed a four-year stint teaching mathematics to English Language Learners abroad in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I resigned from teaching full time in 2019 to pursue a certificate in television development and entertainment at UCLA Extension to gain the necessary skills to realize my dream of one day producing my own educational game show for teens!

With over 30 years or teaching/tutoring experience, I am THE person to come to for your math needs! I am currently certified in the California and Georgia in Mathematics Grades 6-12 through college courses in California. I have taught Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Integrated Math 1-3, CPM Algebra 1, 6th Grade Common Core Math and 7th Grade Common Core Math.
