"I provide rigorous, high-level academic tutoring, test preparation, and enrichment for high school, college, and graduate students. I have ten years and thousands of hours of experience with students and professionals around the world. I specialize in very advanced quantitative and verbal coursework.

BIO: I studied theoretical mathematics, literature, and philosophy at MIT and Harvard. My interests span the sciences and humanities. My mathematical expertise is in the mathematical foundations of theoretical physics (differential geometry, topology, and functional analysis), but I've also done labwork in molecular biology, biomedical engineering, cognitive neuroscience, and natural language processing at NASA, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, the McGovern Institute for Brain Research, and MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. On the humanities side, I am broadly interested in language, literature, and intellectual and cultural history. I am senior editor at a literary and political magazine, where I work on essays on books and ideas, from literature and philosophy to science and culture; I’ve edited three books of nonfiction and a New York Times-reviewed collection of poetry.

No matter the subject, I emphasize the core logical and conceptual foundations and clear and creative thinking, never rote memorization or mechanical rule-following.

EXPERIENCE: As my ratings and reviews attest, I have thousands of hours and more than a decade of experience working with hundreds of students around the world. I have worked with college and graduate studen" less...
