With over 10 years of teaching under my belt, both in the USA and abroad, I tailor my lessons to your goals and learning styles. My students tell me they come away self-motivated to study, and say they have never had such rapid improvement as with me. My success speaks for itself: several of my students have gone from failing to getting A's within several months of working with me, and ALL my students have seen an improvement of their grades. My adult students tell me how much they learn and that they look forward to seeing me every week! I am a music director of a church, professional oboist, and currently teach high school German and English to Spanish speakers.

Background: I have two degrees in music (Boston Conservatory of Music, Wichita State), have performed on four continents, and have taught both music and languages in the public schools, private tutoring, and college levels. I am a specialist in the AP Music Theory test, and I have taught music theory and ear training at the high school and college level. Outside of theory, I am a music director, oboist, pianist, and teach sight-singing.

Luckily, I am also a heritage speaker of German (thanks grandma!), and have taught in the public schools in the German state of Rheinland-Pfalz. I currently teach in the US.

Spanish was also a language I started when I was a young girl and I teach up to the AP Spanish and college levels.
