"Hello, I'm Job! I'm an undergraduate Music BA major with an extensive background in piano (over 10 years of experience!). I have experience as a teaching assistant from volunteer and internship work. I have thoroughly enjoyed those past experiences and would like to continue teaching others.

I have volunteered for various organizations in the past. I have taught children with special needs how to swim, I have taught elementary school children financial literacy, and I have taught my own brothers various things like math and music. These experiences have given me a solid background to teach others what they need to know.

When I teach, I like to break down complex concepts into smaller, more understandable chunks so anyone can understand them. I have also found that relating concepts to everyday things have aided me in learning difficult things in the past. With these, I have been able to teach things to people of any age ranging from elementary school children to my own college-level friends.

Whenever I have tutored, I have always appreciated giving people the chance to learn something new. If a student comes out learning something new and they had fun doing it, I feel like I have done my job quite well.

I've had many experiences teaching elementary math to children. I have taught special needs children in the past and can be patient with students trying to understand something that may be difficult for them. I can break down the curriculum and work through each topic so that students can become familiar and have an easier time learning. Taking a concept and breaking it down into smaller but more understandable pieces can really aid the learning process.

In my experience teaching science, I have found that taking things slowly and going one at a time is very beneficial to learning about science. Many concepts like the three states of matter, life sciences, and the scientific method can be really intimidating when approached broadly but can be really easy to learn when looking at its component topics" less...
