"I've helped others in a wide range of subjects, ranging from Algebra and English to Music Theory and Taekwondo. I was the official paid Music Theory Assistant for the music program at Grace Bible College for 1 1/2 years (and another year tutoring unpaid). I absolutely love people and love it even more when I can help them succeed. Growing up I was homeschooled all 12 years, and even back then I had a passion for teaching and would help teach my younger brother all kinds of subjects from Algebra to Geometry to Chemistry and so forth. Even in college, I found myself helping others with their English work - fixing grammar, making their sentences more interesting, avoiding unnecessary repetition - and I watched them make great strides in their English ability.

I've been involved with music for almost as long as I can remember and have been training my voice for eight years. In that time frame, I've had the privilege of helping teach others how to better their musical abilities, as well. I've been playing guitar for 12 years and piano just a bit longer than that. I have lots of experience in making public speaking come alive - whether that's simply giving a speech for a professor or performing in a theatrical production, I love getting to the depth of the text or speech and uncovering the passion and expression that's contained within. This can be done through body posture and movement, vocal tone and dynamics, good use of space or timing, and excellent eye contact and confidence.

All in all, I love seeing people succeed and do what they do with confidence. If I can help others to make progress towards that pursuit, that makes it all worth it for me." less...
