"I have experience tutoring students of all levels (from elementary to adult-level) on reading and math. Throughout this time, I've come to enjoy watching students improve and gain confidence in their work. I have also taught seventh-grade classes at my school as part of my mathematical independent study project, so I have experience in a classroom setting. My past students have experienced huge gains, going from 2/3s on the ISEE to 6/7/8s within a few months. My students focusing on the SAT/APs had similar improvements. While these improvements did require a lot of motivation and going through exercises to gain experience, I would like to believe that my tutoring helped them master difficult concepts even beyond what showed up on their exams. Finally, I graduated from St. John's School in Houston Cum Laude. I was also my school's presidential scholar candidate nominee (requiring the highest SAT score for a school). While I can help or use flexible styles of teaching, my preferred method is directed questioning as in the Socratic method. Currently, I am in my second year at Imperial College London School of Medicine and was within the top 10% of my class in the first year.

I have experience teaching students how to develop mathematical ideas for themselves and gain a greater understanding of formulas and theorems. I obtained a perfect score in the mathematical sections of the SAT and the math SAT II test. Some of the more advanced math classes I've taken include AP Calculus (5 on the AP), AP Statistics (5 on the AP), Differential Equations, Partial Differential Equations, Intro to Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, and Complex Analysis (as an independent study class).

Hopefully, you will be interested in having me as a tutor, and I am generally easily accessible for scheduling or other questions.

Some of my successes include:

-Helping a student get into one of the top HS's in the country through their performance on the ISEE

-Helping students succeed in AP exams (Calc/Bio/Chem)

-Helping a student im" less...
