"Thank you for considering me in assisting with your academic endeavors. My name is Adam. I am a Registered Nurse (RN) and National Registry Paramedic (NRP) with a bachelor's degree in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University. I have been a ground based 911 paramedic and paramedic instructor for the past 15 years and am also a Part-time Emergency Department Nurse. I hold a Paramedic certification from the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) along with Paramedic and nursing licenses in Illinois and Florida. I have a passion for understanding human anatomy and physiology, and believe that patient care along with academic success becomes easier with a strong understanding of how systems work and why our treatments work.

I enjoy teaching concepts and enhancing the understanding of those who are trying to excel in their studies. I have learned in my own studies that often a single method of explanation or teaching may not work for every person. I work to find several different methods for explaining and teaching key concepts to reinforce different learning styles. I believe that we are all students, and assisting your studies makes us both successful lifelong learners and builds stronger knowledge for everyone.

As part of my bachelor's degree in nursing, the required coursework includes: Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, and patient assessment. This academic work aligned with my teaching experience and clinical work as a paramedic have given me a strong ability to tie classroom concepts to clinical experience to help enhance understanding of material. I also have developed some beneficial approaches to exams and tests that have proven successful both in class and on board exams (NREMT, NCLEX, etc.).
