As an undergraduate, I completed two semesters of organic chemistry lecture and lab. I also completed one semester of an advanced organic synthesis course. I am currently a 5th year PhD student in medicinal chemistry at UK. A part of my graduate degree requirements, I have taken graduate level courses in organic synthesis, physical organic chemistry, organic mechanisms, and organic spectroscopy. My research as a PhD student is heavily focused on organic synthesis. I took two semesters of undergraduate level biochemistry lecture and lab. I have also take one semester of advanced graduate level biochemistry. My PhD research is in the field of medicinal chemistry, which requires extensive biochemistry knowledge.
