I am constantly keeping up to date with the current research in education, specifically literacy. I have a master's degree in education, a bachelor's degree in speech pathology and an advanced certificate in literacy. I have over 10 years of teaching and private tutoring experience in NYC. I am also Orton-Gillingham trained at the associate level.

I use multi-sensory techniques to teach phonemic awareness, phonics and reading comprehension. Using kinesthetic teaching techniques not only engages students virtually or in person, but also helps students learn in different ways and develop better muscle memory for writing.

Currently I am a private literacy tutor in Manhattan and the surrounding areas. I work in-person and virtually, conducting pre- and post-assessments and developing engaging virtual sessions. I have a proven track record of student success and improved motivation around reading.
