"I have a PhD in Cell Biology and Molecular Medicine from Rutgers University, and I have been teaching at a public high school for the past 9 years. I have years of experience teaching Honors Biology, AP Biology and college-prep Chemistry. I am a certified teacher and nothing gives me more joy than coming up with various strategies to help students understand material effortlessly. I believe in breaking down complex concepts into simpler, easily understandable and retainable content while still maintaining their depth and accuracy. I am also into connecting content with real-life applications which makes students appreciate concepts at the big-picture level.

Tutoring AP Biology for a short duration of time has made me realize that most students struggle in the AP Biology course or are not prepared for the AP Bio exam NOT because the course is impossibly difficult but because they don't receive appropriate guidance on planning and pacing and are actually taking the exam with partial proficiency on content and skills required for success on the exam. Some students lack the fundamentals because of which they can't handle application-based questions that required deeper-level thinking while some couldn't complete the syllabus in time to actually hone in on the actual test-taking skills. Most students approached me with very little time remaining before the AP exam last year and still found me helpful! That is when I realized that I needed to come up with a course offering that is a ONE-STOP shop for all of their AP Bio needs. My goal is to design a course that provides them success in both the COURSE during the school year and the AP EXAM in May.
