"Hi, I’m Dr. K! I was born and raised in Maryland. I have lived in Dallas the past two years. I’m a scientist that has a passion for teaching and mentoring. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Biology (minor in Psychology) from Morgan State University in 2013. In 2019, I received my doctorate degree (PhD) in Neuroscience from Universiyy at Buffalo.

Growing up, learning new concepts was a bit of a challenge. I have ADHD and sometimes that can make learning and concentrating difficult. However, I have grown to learn how to overcome these obstacles. This has given me a unique perspective and enhances my ability to teach others how to digest material and create effective study strategies. I have a lot of experience with tutoring math. I can approach math problems in a way in which many students can relate.

I’ve been a scientist for over 10 years. Science is something I enjoy teaching and doing. So much so, I obtained my PhD in Neuroscience.

I have ADHD. Therefore, I am very familiar with how to cope with everyday characteristics associated with the disorder. Additionally, I have conducted ADHD research and have adequate knowledge on the topic.
