"I have taught mathematics at various levels at California State University at Long Beach where I earned my Master's in math. Courses included Algebra, Finite Mathematics, and numerous others. I have also tutored these and other subjects. In addition to teaching, I have had a career working as a computer programmer for Computer Aided Geometric applications. I am currently retired and am looking to help students overcome mathematical barriers, including math anxiety. I am also well versed in computer science topics, including math of computer science, and have aided in teaching such classes at the University of California, Irvine.

What I love about tutoring is the one-on-one interaction with students. One-on-one is the best way to connect with students. I have a great deal of experience with this from being required to tutor lower division classes while working on my own degrees, to my first teaching, which I did while working on my Master's. Teaching is quite different from tutoring, which more closely resembles office hours, which I was always required to observe.

I have made an in-depth study of the python programming language and have programmed data science and artificial intelligence. Having learned this language while programming in C++ and other languages, python is an excellent language that can serve as a rapid introduction to programming, but it also supports many advanced programming features such as object-orientation, exceptions, generators, etc.
