"I have been involved in tutor from a young age. During middle school, I would provide extra help to other students in my classes who were struggling to keep up with the material. This continued throughout high school and I gained tutoring experience in a range of subjects including, science, math, writing, and history. I also mentored new members of my debate team by assisting with speech writing and presentations. In college, I went on to study neuroscience and I took all different science courses in biology, chemistry, and physics. I would often tutor peers in my courses and help them work through the material.
In addition, throughout high school and college, I have tutored in a variety of subjects including, writing, language, science and history. I am experienced teaching students as young as 7, so I am able to make material accessible to any age. I know that teachers can sometimes be tricky, so I work to help my students learn the material in a way that makes sense for them. I want you to do well in your courses, and I also want you to learn and enjoy yourself at the same time. I am currently working in a research lab studying biology and the liver and finding new and exciting ways to develop my science knowledge.
I really enjoy understanding how and why science works the way it does, and I believe that conveying those ideas really helps students master the material.
In addition to my love of science, I also enjoy writing and have experience helping students write literary essays, articles, personal statements, and academic research papers. I am passionate and encouraging about my students gaining the skills necessary to express themselves and their ideas in a way that both feels true to themselves and can be understood by others. If you are struggling to put your idea to paper, or come up with a central point of your argument, I can help you reach those goals.
Don't hesitate to reach out if you are looking for extra support in your classes. I am excited to help you through this process!" less...
