"I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, and have always loved science and math. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in chemistry from UC Santa Cruz . I discovered a love of teaching my freshman year of college when hired as a Calculus tutor, and worked as a tutor all four years of undergraduate. After obtaining my doctorate degree, I began teaching full-time and have enjoyed this rewarding career ever since!

As a chemistry instructor in the community college system for many years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching thousands of students. My favorite part of the job is helping students one-on-one, providing instruction specifically tailored to their needs, educational gaps, and learning style. I love watching students light up when they start to truly understand chemistry.

I have a Ph. D. in chemistry from UC Berkeley and a BA in Chemistry from UC Santa Cruz and have been a full-time chemistry instructor for over 20 years. I teach Introductory Chemistry and General Chemistry.
