"I have a PhD in particle physics from the University of Maryland at College Park and many years' experience in industry. I have taught recitation sections in physics at UMCP and college algebra at University of Maryland University College. I won an Outstanding Teaching award at UMCP. I have also provided a lot of assistance to my 13 year-old son in his math education. My approach to teaching is intuitive. I like to guide students with questions to help them develop their own understanding. While I do have a strong mathematical background, I'm not going to overwhelm you with things you won't understand. We'll work together in a relaxed way and you won't find yourself the least bit intimidated. I'll help you overcome any math anxiety you might be feeling and to feel confident in yourself. We can work on math and science at any level and if you want to prepare for SAT's we can do that too. If you hate math/science I'm not saying I have some magic power that will make you like it.
