I am a teacher and enthusiast for Physics at all levels - I have a Bachelor's degree in Astronomy-Physics and a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. I have tutored and taught Physics for over 15 years now, and employ a variety of teaching styles to help students learn and comprehend material. I always try to foster a sense of curiosity and self-confidence in clients, endeavoring to create students who are motivated to ask lots of questions and practice problem-solving for themselves, not just take my word for things.

I have teaching experience both one-on-one and in classroom settings, and have been tutoring virtually online for the past year as well. My favorite subjects to teach are high school physics, electricity and magnetism, quantum physics, and thermodynamics. My focus in teaching these subjects is on delivering clear explanations to the student, emphasizing both conceptual understanding and mathematical reasoning. When we work on problem-solving, I will ask you what you think we should do, and guide you towards solving the problem for yourself, not just give you an answer with no understanding of how we got there. I find this is a highly successful strategy for encouraging students of all levels and backgrounds to achieve their best on coursework and exams.
