Putting the two together (online tutoring) has been really rewarding for me. I especially enjoy teaching advanced topics like general relativity. You really only need to know calculus, and (with a bit of effort, and an experienced guide) you can get all the way to black holes and the big bang.
I have been teaching and tutoring math and physics for more than 15 years. I am a popular instructor here at the University of Arizona, and I am also known for my public lectures on gravitational waves and astrophysics. I hold a B.S. from Yale University and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. I began my tutoring career as an undergraduate at Yale, providing physics help to minority and first-generation students as part of a program run by the college. Since then, I have taught math and physics to all kinds of students at all different levels." less...
