"I want to share my love for learning with others, and I find great joy in helping students struggling with their coursework learn to master and enjoy the material. I have personally experienced applying persistence and dedication to many difficult subjects, and I graduated at the top of my class as a result. I know the joy that accompanies these accomplishments, and as your tutor I will adjust my teaching methodology until you have felt that joy, as well.
I graduated from a highly-ranked (top 10) university and have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. I have previously tutored both middle and high-school students in mathematics through the calculus sequence, linear/matrix algebra, and probability/statistics.
I have completed and received an A grade in Biology I and II, General Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II, Physics I and II and several other upper-level biology courses.
I completed a creative writing program at my undergraduate institution, received scholarship awards for my writing and earned an A grade in College Composition I, II and a research writing course in the English department.
I am inspired to help students struggling with their coursework and believe any subject can be mastered with enough effort. I hope to help my students reduce the frustration that inevitably accompanies an academic struggle, and I will consider myself successful when they not only master but also learn to enjoy the material." less...
