"Hi, I'm Hannah! I graduated magna cum laude from Princeton with a degree in Classics and earned my MFA in Creative Writing from NYU.

Since high school, I've tutored in almost every subject imaginable, including working with middle and high school students in Math and English, teaching English as a second language, the ACT and SAT, one-on-one lessons in creative writing, and even piano lessons for young children.

My favorite type of tutoring, however, is helping high school students with their college application essays. I truly enjoy sitting down with my students, getting to know them on a personal level, and helping them to tell a story that will capture the attention and admiration of admissions officers. From brainstorming and outlining to editing, revising, and proofreading, I'll make sure you feel confident at every step along the way. The result will be an essay written in your unique voice that effectively communicates your accomplishments, passions, and potential. I have extensive experience with the undergrad application process and am familiar with the Common App, the UC system, and the values of many colleges across the US. Together, we'll make sure your essay is polished, smart, and compelling—and we'll have fun, too!

My other passion is helping applicants to medical school on the personal statement and secondary essays. As someone who comes from a family of doctors, I love working with students to express the values and experiences that have led them to the medical profession. I know the process of applying to medical school can be overwhelming, and I'll help you to focus on what matters most—what brought you to this career in the first place.
