As an academically trained professional historian, I have five semesters of experience teaching history to college students at an R1, Big 10 university, and four years of experience providing private tutoring services to high school students attending some of New York City's most prestigious high schools, including: the Trinity School, Hunter College High School, and the Professional Children's School.

My students--on both the high school and college levels--generally demonstrate at least a 20 point grade improvement on written work in the space of one school year. I also focus on teaching reading strategies, primary sources analysis, and critical thinking skill development.

I prefer to work with students on a weekly basis for at least a full semester, as the skills I teach require time, practice, and reinforcement.
