"I have been teaching music for over 20 years. I have three degrees in the French horn (BFA, MA, and DMA), extensive piano teaching experience for ages 5-adult (including having been adjunct piano faculty at NYU), and Theory teaching experience including AP.

As a Music Theory teacher I've prepared students for the AP Music Theory Exam, prepared high school students for college entrance exams, have tutored current college students (in theory and ear training), and have prepared students of all ages for ABRSM and RCM musicianship/theory/ear training exams.

As a French horn teacher I have prepared many students for local honor band auditions, Royal Conservatory Performance Exams (my students have all scored 90 or higher, two have been selected to perform at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall), college auditions (including recording arts supplements), and summer camp auditions. I've also had great fun working with adults who have returned to the instrument. I'm also more than happy to work with students on their school band music and other assignments.

As a piano teacher I've worked with students age 5-adult, skill levels, and in a variety of styles. I've also helped prepare college students for piano class exams.

I have always had a passion for teaching music. I strongly believe that a well-rounded education includes music, that learning music is good for both the brain and the heart. While I am very proud of my higher achieving students, I am just as proud of my students who simply love music and know they will always find a place for it in their lives.
