"Being in love with science means "Love to teach science"

I earned my BSc degree in molecular biology back in Serbia. At University of Novi Sad, Department of Biology and Ecology I had opportunity to work as student volunteer in laboratory. I learned laboratory techniques and I started working as a teacher for new students.

That job taught me how to interact with beginners and I built my teaching platform which included patient and open approach which put me into the 5 best students’ teachers at University of Novi Sad. During master an PhD studies there I expanded knowledge in teaching field. After I established research projects, I started giving private classes and preparing students for college. Mostly, my classes were focused on biology and genetics, but I also have experience in English language teaching.

Many Serbians do not have opportunity to learn English, so I wanted to help those children and for very small amount of money I was giving lectures every time they needed. When I moved to US, Wyoming, I applied for teaching assistant position at UW. My first teaching job was online class "Principles of Biochemistry". I was leading discussions and I supervised students in their scientific writing. I really enjoyed in communication and interaction with my future colleagues, and I organized discussion boar online.

There instructor would post scientific topic, and I would direct students to the science or pub med website, or moreover, I would upload them original research paper or review related to the given topic. Every day I was editing the board and I was always available and open for their questions. I tried to teach them how to read literature, how to get in details in research article and how to move forward and get novel information about given topics.
