"I know that by the time a student or professional is reaching out to me they could be feeling frustrated with the subject matter they are learning. I understand the pitfalls students face and I always try to find different ways to explain something if a student isn't understanding.

I have been a professional educator for over 20 years with a very diverse skill set. I am a lifelong learner proficient in and capable of teaching the following subjects with deep expertise: finance, vocal music, language, and science of reading.

I am an avid reader and writer, and have worked as an assistant editor on two books and I have worked as a financial subject matter expert for major textbook publishers proofreading, editing, and creating original content, and crafting test bank questions.

I have taught finance and economics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, designing original course content and facilitating them entirely online, so I am familiar with the challenges online students face as well as how to utilize Wyzant's platform for successful tutoring sessions.

I am also a professional singer graduating from the University of Michigan School of Music which is ranked in the Top 10 Music Schools in the United States. I have maintained a private voice studio for nearly 20 years and I still perform regularly. I have worked with speakers and singers of all ages and styles for many years in person and online.
