"I hold dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology (graduating summa cum laude) and I am an attorney. While I was in college, I balanced honors classes and student leadership positions. One of my favorite parts of mentoring younger students was seeing them be successful and the confidence that resulted from that success. I found that I had particular knacks for helping students adjust to college life and proofreading essays. I am a tough proofreader, but I always make sure that I deliver my suggestions in a positive manner and remind my students that I believe in their abilities to be amazing writers.
Mentoring students has always brought me joy. Sometimes those mentorships just involved building their confidence that they can do well academically, but a lot of the time it involved some level of tutoring. Assistance with understanding confusing concepts can really enable a student to confidently approach future problems. I love being able to help students do that.
I am a strong writer and I frequently proofread all of my friends and coworkers' essays for classes. I have received multiple scholarship offers for both undergraduate and law school, so I have experience with writing admissions and scholarship essays.
I love helping students succeed. While my degrees are in Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Law, I do have a background in helping struggling students do well in a university setting. If you would like to learn more about lessons, please do not hesitate to contact me. I prefer to meet at libraries or tutor online." less...
