"I am a licensed teacher in two states, and hold degrees and certificates in Elementary and Montessori Education. Additionally, I have a doctorate in Literacy. I was an early elementary classroom educator for ten years. I also spent seven years teaching Reading and Writing methods courses at two universities.

In addition to my years of classroom experience, I am also Orton-Gillingham trained. The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia.
