"I am currently a high school teacher certified in Math and English 7-12. I have taught in Anne Arundel County for the last 20 years, with one year in New York State. I currently teach AP English Literature, 10 Honors, SAT Prep, and 9 Honors. While certified in math, I prefer to help students with English, reading, and writing. I also can offer test-taking help and college preparation. I often work with students as they practice for the SAT/ACT, and then later help them draft their college essays and applications.

Students believe me to be relatable, helpful, and supportive, especially in the areas of test prep and of writing. I spend time with students each year in writing college essays and have supported students throughout the process. I have tutored for over 10 years from middle school age to college level writers.

One slight warning. Because I teach at a local high school, I am not allowed to tutor students from that school. As such, I cannot tutor students from Severna Park High School.

I also only tutor in public places—usually the Severna Park and Glen Burnie libraries. I also work on weekends at Paneras and Starbucks in the same neighborhoods. I am not available to work in homes." less...
