"My teaching experience includes over 25 years of work teaching either English Language Learners or elementary school students. Since I have taught in both private and public schools as well as taught online, I can incorporate a wide variety of teaching tools that can help you learn effectively. For example, perhaps learning through music helps you remember concepts. We can incorporate music into our tutoring sessions. Maybe you learn best by reciting information. We can work with that technique. Perhaps, you are a critical thinker who wants to be able to put together complex projects. We can work together to help you master those projects.

My education includes a Bachelor's Degree in English with a minor in English as a Second Language. I hold a Minnesota teaching license that equips me to teach in K-12 ELL classrooms and a 1-6 license for elementary education. I also have a Master's Degree in Instructional Design and Technology.

What is my teaching style? First, you and I will go over a needs assessment to see what you wish to learn. I will evaluate your English to see your strengths and weaknesses and will develop a plan of action so you can work on those skills that will take you from point A to point B on your journey of learning English. Next, I will help you develop skills that will enable you to move ahead in life. Do you need to pass an exam to go to college? We can work on those skills. Do you wish to be able to write an effective resume to find your ideal job? I can work with you to master that skill. Do you just need a conversational partner to talk about the interesting idioms and expressions of English? Let's do that too! Finally, I will offer feedback with each and every lesson.
