"My decision to pursue a career in teaching is due, in part, to my intrinsic desire to make a positive impact on the life of others. Teaching goes hand in hand, along with my counseling profession, in that it is a highly rewarding profession in which I have the privilege and opportunity to be able to directly affect change in the lives of others. Creating a better society is built one person, or student, at a time. I cannot think of a better way to contribute to the betterment of the future of our society than investing my time and talents in the teaching profession. I have had the privilege of traveling around the world, and the honor of meeting dignitaries and well known people, but the people that have impacted my life, and part of the fabric of my being, are teachers that took the time and effort to help me become the person that I am today.

My teaching style is a reflection of the plethora of my experiences, opportunities and talents and can best be described as one that incorporates a diversity of teaching methodologies and techniques. Learning is an exciting adventure and by enthusiastically engaging students in fascinating lessons and using strategies that address each child’s learning style, I believe that student can find any subject enjoyable and achieve academic success. Learning occurs when a student is fully engaged in the process, makes a personal connection with the information taught, and applies the knowledge to a variety of experiences. While I am known for my humor in speaking and teaching, I also adhere to discipline and time management.

I have traveled around the world in speaking engagements and teaching. I enjoy working with youth and was youth leader in my church. I recently moved to the Athens area and have decided to do some part time teaching along with traveling with my speaking engagements and counseling.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Business and a Master's degree in Counseling. I also speak Spanish." less...
