"Hello! My name is Rochelle and I have been teaching kindergarten through 4th grade in Colorado for the past 13 years.

Working with students is not just a job, it really is my passion. If your child needs help in phonics, reading, spelling, writing, math, or study skills, I can help. I provide structured instruction specifically planned for each individual child. I believe the relationship teachers have with their students is paramount in helping them learn as children respond in kind to those who treat them with respect and kindness. My families would tell you I have high expectations for my students and great communication with parents as I enjoy partnering with you.

I have taken several masters level reading classes and am a Certified Academic Language Practitioner. This includes specific structured reading training in the Orton Gillingham methodology. I have used several different math curriculums and supplemented to common core standards. Each curriculum is somewhat different in the methodology used. I believe students need to have strong foundational skills in order to master concepts in the upper elementary grades.

Having taught in both public and charter schools, I have used several different curriculums and can adapt to assist with the chosen curriculum, as well as use additional tricks I have learned over the years to help your child master elementary content.
