"I am a teacher by day and a parent both day and night. I have been teaching for the last 11 1/2 years, and ten of those years have been in the district where I teach now. The title I have in the school is that of a special education inclusion and resource teacher. As an inclusion teacher, I co-teach with a Math and English Language Arts teacher in the general education classroom. I help any student who is struggling in the classroom, although the biggest strugglers are usually the special education students in the classroom.

As a tutor, I worked daily for the last three years helping students with homework and with mini lessons in Math and English Language Arts. I provided math lessons two days a week and the other two days, I provided English Language Arts lessons. As a tutor, I look forward to working one on one with your child because I feel that small group or one on one are the most effective ways to reach students, since the attention/ instruction is devoted to one child.

Last year, I taught 5th grade math as an interventionist. Before working in 5th grade, I worked as an inclusion teacher in 6th grade. I have done this as a special education teacher inclusion teacher in the general education classroom and I have done this in a small group setting with struggling students. I have been an inclusion math teacher for the last six years.

I am qualified to teach reading because I work with low readers daily in a small group setting. I also work alongside a general education teacher as a co-teacher teaching students grammar, writing, and reading in the English Language Arts classroom. I have done this for the last seven years.
