"I'm a recent college graduate with a degree in Teaching, Schools, and Society and a Concentration in Advocacy. My focus was in elementary education (K-6), as well as special education (K-12). I believe that I could be an excellent asset to you because I've been working with students for several years now. I've done several internships, one was at a tier two behavioral issues alternative school in Statesville, NC, where I focused on the students with mental disabilities and how to help give them more one-on-one time to increase their focus time in class. Another internship I did was for my student teaching, at a poverty stricken school, where I was able to work very closely with first grade students that struggled with the simpler tasks sometimes, but excelled in a lot of other areas. I've learned a lot in the past few years and one thing is that I love helping kids and watching them grow.

My focus in college was elementary education, which includes math. I spent an entire semester focused solely on different math techniques and participated in a Math Night at an elementary school, with my fellow classmates, to present various math techniques we had learned.

Physical science was my strongest course when I was in high school. I was able to complete this course, as an Honors class, with a 102 grade. There are a lot of wonderful things to learn about science and I hope to pass it on.

Sometimes learning can be frustrating, I get it because I was there...a lot. It just takes a helping hand to guide you on the right path.
