"I am a retired Early Childhood educator. I taught for 31 years before retirement, with the majority of my teaching years being in second grade. The areas I would like to tutor are grammar, reading, spelling and vocabulary. Although I am not a special education teacher, I have experience with students who are slow learners, have IEP's, or have been diagnosed as ADHD.

I have a love of reading and want to see students develop that as well. A good foundation in reading leads to a life long love of reading, which in turn helps students develop understanding and comprehension of what they read.

Helping students recognize spelling patterns in words make spelling easier. Using games to aide students in spelling makes spelling fun as they learn.
