"Since retiring as School Superintendent I have missed the educational environment tremendously. Throughout my 28 years serving in public education, my greatest professional satisfaction came in the classroom. Thus, I have continued to serve as a substitute teacher. I taught English for 25 years. Subsequent to my retirement I have spent weeks and months as a long- and short-term substitute teacher.
