"My name is Rick, and I've spent most of my adult life working with children and young adults both with and without special needs. I have been a baby-sitter, camp counselor/director, teachers aide, and crisis intervention specialist over the years. I currently work for an internet based company in an office, though I am hoping that WyzAnt will provide me a new opportunity.

I have no formal education as a teacher, though I have privately tutored friends and family in the past. I have also been asked to teach Math to friends of the family who are home-schooled, and will begin doing so next school year. While I would describe my teaching style as relatively casual, I feel strongly that each student has their own needs which should be catered to by the educator. My first priority as a Tutor would be to determine the means by which the student will learn best, and adapt my teaching to meet those needs.
