"Intro:

Having finished medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, I'm now a resident medical doctor in NYC. To get to where I am today, I earned multiple 5s on AP exams, 800 Math SAT, 800 Biology SAT II, 760 Reading SAT, and a near perfect undergraduate GPA at the University of Notre Dame. Getting those numbers wasn't easy though! Even after mastering my content knowledge, I felt that there wasn't enough time for me to score well. So, I turned to tutoring, which boosted my scores significantly. My history as a student who was tutored for the SAT sets me apart from tutors because it gave me personal insights into what works and what does not. For SAT tutoring, I help with both test-taking strategies and content knowledge. For essay editing, I help with every step of the process from brainstorming an idea and creating an outline to finalizing grammar prior to submission.

Experience:

I tutored calculus, biology, physics, chemistry, and scientific writing in college. I offered tutoring formats of 1-on-1, group, and lecture-style. Since graduating college, I've continued tutoring using online platforms. My students regularly score +100 points per section in the SAT. Moreover, among those I help with essays, many have been accepted to their "reach" undergraduate and graduate universities (including top-10s).

Tutoring Philosophy:

I believe in efficiency and having students assume ownership of their learning. Because of this, I assign students weekly homework. I have students send me completed homework or essay drafts prior to meeting so I can review the work. For SAT practice, I only use tests produced by College Board, the makers of the SAT. For essays, I help students brainstorm content for their essays and then engage in a series of back-and-forth live feedback based on what they produce.
