"I have taught freshman physics at the college level, but I have also taught high school algebra through calculus to students in an upward bound program while in graduate school. "I have taught freshman physics at the college level, but I have also taught high school algebra through calculus to students in an upward bound program while in graduate school. As expected there is a good deal of math in physics, so I am familiar with what skills are needed beyond to succeed at higher level courses.
I have been a mentor to students, officially and unofficially. I have taught classes as large as 35 students per class, but also worked in small groups of 34. I have worked one on one with students during office hours before and can honestly say those students have always found success and were prepared for any homework, lab, quiz or test.
I have a PhD in physics/astrophysics and have taught algebra through calculus to students at the end of high school and entering the first years of college.
I have a PhD in physics/astrophysics and have taught physics at the university level. I have also taught introductory courses in astronomy and specialize in planetary science, studying the atmospheres of Jupiter, Saturn, exoplanets and inner planet evolution.
I enjoy outreach and doing public events about science in general, so please don't hesitate to ask about anything." less...
