"Hi my name is Lyndie.I have been a teacher in the private Christian School sector for over 25 years. I make learning fun with songs and poems that pique the interest of the child. My specialty includes learning to read through phonics.I believe every child can succeed if they are good readers.

I also have extensive experience teaching beginner swim lessons. I hold a current CPR and First Aid Card. I currently teach private and group lessons in the summer months.

I love teaching whether it is learning to read or to swim. It is such a reward to see children reach their full potential.

I have been trained in the ABEKA curriculum which I find aids in children learning the fastest by teaching one concept ,repeating and applying the concept to reading. I have the patience to work with children with ADHD and children that have a short attention span.

I have had several of my own students in my classroom that had ADHD. I realize that they cannot learn like most children. For example I let one child do all of his work standing up because he could not sit in his chair during lessons. I keep it fast moving so I do not lose their attention. I have only taught autistic children in the swimming pool.

I have been teaching swim lessons since I was out of college every summer. I currently teach privately to my own clientele. I know what works and I am a kind, fun and trusted teacher. I build the trust with a child then we can move on to learning to blow bubbles, submerge , float and eventually kick and move arms.My main goal is to teach childruhow to be comfortable, confident and safe around water
