I have a degree in computer science from the University of Southern California and several years of industry experience working as a professional software engineer. I’ve had about 8 years of tutoring experience with people of all ages and school levels. I realize the price is I set is high but you are paying for a professional working software engineer and not someone with just a degree from college or an unrelated degree like math or physics. Not to say that the former is bad in any way, rather, with me you will be getting extremely specialized help in a broad range of technologies specifically in the software engineering and computer science space.

In the past 8 years I have built a proven system that takes intimidation away from the subject matter and can break it down into smaller digestible pieces. I find it helps to give students some cursory background and context such as history and related examples to demystify the subject matter. My approach highlights the difference between “knowing” and “understanding” subject matter and helps students to self identify their level and where they need to get to.
