"While doing a work exchange in Mexico, I realized one of my dreams and goals was to one day become fluent in Spanish. The language had been one of my passions since my freshman year, I was a member of the Spanish club for four years, and my senior year of high school I became the president of the club. Throughout high school I was also taking honors Spanish classes and tutoring a younger high school student off and on. While attending the University of Missouri-Columbia, I double-majored in Spanish and Psychology and the spring of my junior year I studied abroad in Mendoza, Argentina for 5 months. I learned a lot in the classroom, but my Spanish improved the most through my interactions and conversations with people on a small organic farm. So, after completing my majors at Mizzou I went back to work and live on the farm. Since then I have lived in Argentina and Colombia. I have also been teaching/tutoring Spanish to children, adolescents and adults through another tutoring platform.

My teaching style is to ask the student´s needs, goals, and interests and, based off those factors, create interactive and engaging sessions.

While living abroad I have also taught English. I received my certification to teach English from the University of Toronto. I am qualified to teach English as a Second Language, elementary writing and grammar, and conversational English.

While in college I worked as a career counselor at the Mizzou Career Center for 3 1/2 years. Part of my job involved revising, editing, and helping students write resumes, cover letters, and personal statements. I received one semester of training on how to counsel students who were undecided on a major and help students with the job search process, such as preparing for interviews and completing documents.
