"Hi there! My name is Nerea, I’m originally from Spain the Basque area near France, I moved to the US about 5 years ago.

I have been speaking Spanish all my life. I am crazy about learning new languages so I know the importance of technique and perseverance when it comes to learning languages. If you are committed, you can learn very fast. I found out that the best way to learn a new language is by talking to natives, traveling to the country, and understanding their perspective and the cultural aspect of the language.

I have graduated with a Bachelors degree in Veterinary Technology, but I do not possess a teaching certificate, I’m working on obtaining one, but I have been tutoring in Spanish here in the US for quite a while now to both children and adults. It is so much fun to me. I have also taught online and exchanged languages with other people when I wanted to learn a language, I’d teach Spanish to them and they’d teach me their language (French, Italian...).

I have done that for a very long time. The issue I found with that is the time difference. It was quite challenging to find time when you have 6-8 hrs of difference.

When it comes to teaching, I can help you with Spanish grammar, vocabulary, those challenging verb tenses, school homework, or specific vocabulary for work like for instance, medical terminology, law terminology, politics, etc. We can work together!

Please feel free to contact me. Some people have asked me before if they learn Spanish, from Spain, will they understand South American Spanish? The answer is Yes! Absolutely. We do have different slang just like British English and American English, but that’s all. I have many Colombian, Peruvian, Mexican friends and we understand each other perfectly.
