I am currently a teacher at a special education school where I teach math (Pre algebra- Algebra II) and biology. I received a dual degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in Economics and International Relations and will be entering grad school shortly to pursue a degree in quantitative economics. Though math is my chosen field, I find political science, international relations, and all around social studies interesting and they are the subjects I learn on my spare time.
In terms of tutoring, I have given out private lessons, on and off, for about two years now. However, in the academic field I have never tutored anyone personally, with the exception of friends and family. My teaching method would go along the basis of what I learn off which is more of a hands on approach. Meaning bringing in supplemental materials from my schooling that would differ from the usual textbook materials.
