"As a graduate of Curry College, I have student teaching experience on the fourth grade and fifth grade levels in a self-contained classroom, in both suburban and urban school districts.

I graduated from Fordham University with a Masters of Science in Childhood Education and Special Education. I also have two professional New York State certifications in Students with Disabilities 1-6 and Childhood Education 1-6.

I have been teaching at the same school for nine years. The school is part of District 75, the New York City Department of Education’s special education district. I have worked with different age level students from K-8 with different disabilities (Emotionally Disturbed, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Multiple Disabilities). All of the classes at the school are self-contained. I have obtained a certification in Life Space Crisis Intervention. I have held different out-of-classroom positions such as Math Enrichment Specialist trained in Singapore Math (Math in Focus), Data Specialist, Testing Coordinator, Technology Specialist and Curriculum Specialist. I am a key member of the Instructional Cabinet and a lead teacher for the Early Childhood team. I created and implemented the Early Childhood Literacy curriculum.

I have an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership from Stony Brook University. My School Building Leader New York State Certification is currently pending. I have completed a yearlong internship with the principal and four assistant principals. I have led meetings for my administrators and conducted several professional developments for the staff at the school where I work.

I am a highly enthusiastic, devoted and creative individual. I am extremely qualified for teaching special education. I have experience in and out of special education classrooms.
