"While my principal career during the years I was working to support my family was relatively conventional, during that time, and, in fact, from my earliest memories to date, I have always had a keen interest in education and learning. Gandhi is reported to have said that "One should live each day as if it was his last, but should learn something each day as if he will live forever." In this regard, education has always been a great force in my life and that of my family's, even as it has grown exponentially. My five children, and their mother, all have advanced degrees or are presently attending prestigious universities and those who are married chose two advanced educators and two professionals. Indeed, I began tutoring as a volunteer and enjoy working with virtually all of my students regardless of their ages, the subject matter, or their level of performance. I look forward to a mutually rewarding relationship with TutorZ." less...

Education and Qualifications
My educational background is very diverse. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree, principally in the Humanities, from Brooklyn College (1966), a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University (1969) and certification in tax and regulatory accounting from Michigan State University (1971), in addition to completing Masters program (no degree) in International Relations at NYU. After early retirement from law practice and entreprenaurial pursuits, largely in real estate and wireless telecommunications, for the past 15 years I have taught at high school and college levels and tutored in various subjects, from SES NCLB tutoring in math and reading/language arts to primary and secondary students. Additionally, I taught and tutored math, reading/language arts, and most subjects falling within purview of "humanities", and certain sciences to secondary and college students. Presently, the main focus of my independent tutoring, having sold my own tutoring company a few years ago, has been directed to preparation for standardized tests, i.e., SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, GED, FCAT, ASVAP, LSAT, and others.
