"Before I get to my experience, I would like to discuss my theory of tutoring. My goal with tutoring is to get my tutoree (I made that up) to understand the material so that they can do the tasks themselves. I typically break down the tasks into mini steps so that the person I am helping can fill in any gaps they might have. Instead of doing the homework with my tutoree, I use examples that I come up with, which enables the student to grasp the concept and do the homework themselves (Hooray!). Now for the experience.

I have a lot of experience helping others to raise their grades. Since high school, I have tutored people of all ages, from young kids to adults. I have tutored elementary and high school students in math. All of the people I tutored raised their grades and had a deeper understanding of the subject. I also tutored an adult who was taking a college level chemistry class, while I was still in high school.

In college, I became an English major, and helped many of my friends with writing. For example, I helped friends apply for scholarships, and helped people with essays for courses. Because of my degree in English, I am well suited to help students with reading comprehension, grammar, and writing. As a side note: I also got a degree in Communication Studies and Psychology.

As an MBA student, I was a teacher's aide, and I was responsible for helping dozens of students do well in Financial Accounting. The class size was 160, and I helped at least 24 students through workshop classes and individual tutoring lessons. In addition to understanding business. I have studied multiple years of calculus, so I also understand, Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry.

I enjoy helping people, so tutoring is an excellent fit for me. Typically, the students I have worked with will struggle at first, but over time, their confidence and aptitude grows. This growth keeps me excited to continue helping students. I look forward to helping you or your child experience this growth as well." less...
